Tyrone board approves new supervisor

 Tyrone Twp. — After public interviews, residents’ input and discussion, the township board voted 6-0 to name Michael Cunningham the new supervisor. A number of his friends and neighbors helped fill the meeting room at the township hall, sporting buttons reading, “I like Mike.”

Search continues for missing woman

 Fenton — The Fenton Police Department continues to investigate the disappearance of Randa Jawhari, 43. The Fenton woman was reported missing on Wednesday, Feb. 11 At the time of her disappearance, Jawhari was living in a small one-story apartment at 3464 Shiawassee Avenue, about ¼ mile east…

Parents ask people to keep searching for daughter

 Anisse and David Jawhari, the parents of Randa Jawhari, have requested that concerned residents no longer donate to a fund that was established by family members to help with the costs associated with the search of their missing daughter.

Reward increased to $6,000 for Jawhari’s return

In addition to the $1,000 reward offered by the family of Randa Jawhari, for information leading to her safe return, another $5,000 reward is now being offered.

Detective: On the job 24-7

 A rezoning request for the 224-unit, age-restricted subdivision off Lahring Road was approved by the Fenton Township Board of Trustees on Tuesday, April 5.
